I enjoy tracking on the meaningful experiences I've had over my career, providing me a robust list of the things that have impacted my professional life. Here is a not so complete list of experiences that have contribute to who I am today.

2024

  • February - I experienced Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theater in NYC
  • February - I experienced Moulin Rouge at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in NYC
  • August - I leave Bloomberg to work full time on API Evangelist and APIs.io.

2023

  • July - I moved to New York City, and began leading API governance for Bloomberg.

  • June - I started the Breaking Changes podcast, looking at the space through the lens of business and engineering leadership.
  • January - I became the co-chair for the OpenAPI Initiative (OAI) business governing group (OAI).

2020

2019

  • October - Interviewed by Marsh Gardiner at the API Specifications Conference (ASC) as part of a fireside chat.
  • September - Joined Postman as their Chief Evangelist.
  • January - Joined F5 Networks as their API architect.

  • February - Became social media director at Altrec in Bend, Oregon
  • October - Becme VP of Technology at Web Events Global in Roseville, CA

2007

  • January - Started my social media marketing company called Social Media Squad

2005

  • September - Became lead developer at Palo Alto Software in Eugene, Oregon

2004

  • June - Help start real estate startup IDX in Eugene, Oregon

2003

  • August - Became lead developer at auto and equipment dealer Vihn.net in Eugene, Oregon

2002

  • September - Became lead DBA at Tactical Marketing Ventures in Westmister, Colorado

2000

  • March - Became lead application developer at nonprofit tech provider Netcorps in Eugene, OR

1994

  • February - Started a series of music promotion companies ending with PicHitz Entertainment
