Google is
partnering with the Czech National Library to digitize up to 200,000 works from the historical collection dating back to the 11th century.
The library has is the most comprehensive collections of Slavonic literature in the world, with works are written in a multitude of languages including Russian, Polish, South-Slavic languages, German, Latin, Italian, French and Greek.
The digitization of these books will open up the collection for scholars and interested readers all over the world. Digitizing and opening up collections around the world is not just critical for preservation, but is essential for sharing with our emerging global community.
